My Potter Filled Weekend

Okay- so first things first. I just finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I want you all to post when you finish it so we all know who we can talk to about the book. I think that's a good plan. Don't worry- I won't post any spoilers. :)

Now- back to business.

On Friday night Dani and I went to Barnes and Noble and stood in line to get our books. It was grand. I got a free pair of glow-in-the-dark Harry Potter glasses. Sweet. I was home by 1 in the morning and got to read the first six chapters before I went to bed.

Yesterday morning I went to the San Diego Pride Parade. It was a blast. A group of us from SDSU walked in the parade, which was actually quite fun. I got to see lots of very interesting costumes and even more half naked gay men. Gotta love 'em. I will post my favorite pics once Dani sends them to me. Down side- I wore sunscreen, but evidently not enough. I burnt my arms and my face and now I have a really sweet sunglass burn. Oh yeah- hot. Upside- half way through the parade route a woman from the crowd screamed "KIM STOKELY!" and Dani and I turned to see one of our sorority sisters Christel running up to greet us. It was actually really awesome to see her!

I came home after the parade (after walking the two miles back to our car- totalling a whopping 4 miles for the day) to read more Harry Potter. I got through a good chunk before I went to dinner with some friends. I just adore Islands!

Then last night, I fell asleep reading Harry Potter. Oops. So I woke up this morning and finished it. I know it's shorter than other books, but it did seem to take forever to read through. I'm sure it was because I was trying to put things together in my head while I read.

Today's plans: cleaning, grocery shopping, and making cookies for work tomorrow. I'll explain why after you all have finished HP7.

Also- I am officially moving. I put in my 30 days notice on Friday. I don't have a place yet, but I'm actually not worried. My mom is coming down the first weekend in August to help me find a place. As for now, I'm just getting set on packing my stuff. This week I am going to pack my winter clothes, buy some boxes, try to fix up my old computer, sell the desk on craigslist...etc.

As I pack if I find anything that belongs to any of you I will let you know. Cambria- I know I have quite a bit of your stuff. Is it okay if I get rid of the keyboard that doesn't work?

I think that is all for now. Also- Carrie and I are going to PBR on Sunday. I'm excited.

Also- my friend Megan and I are going to Street Scene (a huge two day concert with more than 20 bands) for my birthday. It's going to be my graduation present from my g-parents!
