'Sup Clowns!
That is not the correct way to spell soup! Ahh, another old joke rears it's tired head.
Sooo...I have gobs of free time. It's so out of control. You think you're jealous, but don't be. No one else has this time with me and the cashflow situation is, er, regrettable. But I have been managing to fill my days somehow...
On the 4th it rained most of the day. A bit of a drag. We kept saying, "Is this Fourth of July or Thanksgiving? What the crap?" I went to an awkward BBQ, and eventually made it downtown to see the fireworks, which I love. The rain made them a little weird, but it was fun all the same.
Praise God, I got a job last Thursday! At 24, with five years of college under my belt, I pleased to say that I am going to be a salesgirl at Bloomingdale's! I was not feeling weird about this until the third and final interview when Raoul the HR guy was like, "How are you going to cope with working with people that are less educated than you?" What?! I wanted to be like, "Pretty much how I'm coping with this conversation, Clown!" Anyways, I'm excited. I get to hang out with clothes all day, which is what I like to do. I'll also be hanging out with/washing/sewing/bedazzling the clothes over at Libertine, where I'm going to be a summer intern. Glamourous! I also get to pick up lunch, take out the trash, and walk the designer's dog. Going places, I am.
Anna, I also saw License to Wed this weekend. It was very meh. I liked that little kid, Reverend Frank's sidekick. "Jesus didn't scare you, I did." Whatever, I ate a large popcorn.
Yea, I'm so glad Carrie is on the blog! I want to come visit you in Texas!
Maggie, how is everything going now that you are a lone wolf? Spending a lot of naked time in the apartment? What are your plans for your birthday?
PS...As write this, Jessica's pseudo boyfriend is telling her that before her, he accidentally went on a date with a transvestite that sang backup on a CocoRosie song. There are no words. Wow.
