Yesterday Was A Little OFF

So yesterday I had the bright idea of starting to wake up early in preparation for classes to start again (in like over a month). I have no idea what I was thinking or what kind on insanity possessed me, thank god this morning I had the common sense to sleep in. With all the extra time I had from waking up early I was actually productive around the house before settling in front of the TV to watch "The Astronaut Farmer" (which was ok but there is no need to rush out and get it) and a few things off the DVR.

It's at this time that I looked at the clock and was like crap I'm going to be late for my crappy job! So as I'm pulling in the parking lot I look at the clock again and I realize that I'm not 15 minutes late I'm 45 minutes early, and here is the kicker, in my rush out the door (OMG I had to use a thesaurus for entrance to find out how to spell door) I forgot the DVD's that I had to return because their release date was today. I pull right back out of the parking space that I had just pulled into and headed home again. I decide to take a side street (Cambria you know the one that goes by the animal shelters in Dublin) instead of Dublin Boulevard in the hope of avoiding some lights. It's just as I'm passing the CHP station that I spy something that strikes me as a little out of place. A huge flock of sheep and goats just chilling there eating and watching the few cars go bye. I mean really? Sheep. . .in Dublin, who knew?

I eventually actually make it across the threshold of work to be struck by another scene that I have never witnessed before. My manager actually did her job (or perhaps had her CSR do it for her) so I didn't have to play catch up all day. After that my day settled down into quiet routine complete with rude and irate self absorbed customers (however it would have been a very good and unusual day in which I didn't have to deal with them). Actually there was one more unusual bonus, I didn't have to listen to the trailer loop ("trailer loop" is read "audio torture") all day because it wouldn't stop skipping, so instead we listened/watched Pixar movies all day.

Overall I'd say it tallied up to be a good day.

PS:Cambria congratulations on finding a job.

I think we all know that road. Jail-y goodness.

There are sheep on San Ramon Valley Blvd, too, just past the Albertson's, near that Saving Grace (or whatever) church with the big white cross on a building that looks like a farmhouse. Isn't it amazing? Here you are, thinking you live in suburban San Francisco (okay, Oakland), when REALLY you live in Fresno with access to major freeways.

Dublin is the edge of the map.
