Sicko
Greetings! I hope this post finds you all in good health, unlike me. Of course my illness is probably my own undoing, but lets just say I had fun before I got sick!
The obtaining of my illness could have been from anytime between Wednesday last week to that Saturday. Wednesday night a group of coworkers and I went to West Hollywood (WeHo!) for Drag Queen Bingo! We'd been two weeks before and had a blast. So this time around we doubled our group size and got front row tables. I had a few drinks and there were lots of people about, anyone of them could have been carrying the flu bug. Oh and the drag queen last week wasn't as pretty as the one we say the first time out. Hence the super hairy arms and gross arm pit sweat (see below.)

Thursday night I worked at the theater and my boss was sick, hmm good possibility I got sick from her.
Friday night my coworkers and I celebrated my friend Justine's birthday in Huntington Beach, wrongly named "Surf City USA." That title I believe will always belong to Santa Cruz, but I digress. It happened to be two-for-one night at the bar we went to and lets just say I purchased my fair amount of drinks that night. Woke up the next morning to work at the lab and I'm pretty sure I was still drunk.
Sunday is when the flu bug really hit me. I had to go into the lab for work and I was aching all over. It sucked. By the end of the day I was ready to die, oh and I had a fever of 101.4! Its a good thing I got my drinking in for St. Patty's Day on Friday because I've been doing nothing from the time I got home Sunday, to having to call in sick today. Kim, even if we were able to make plans for St. Patty's I probably would have canceled.
Besides being sick, I was in my friend Amanda's wedding at the beginning of the month.
It was a lot of fun, but awkward because I didn't really know anyone besides her immediate family. And to make things worse, towards the end of the night one of their drunk friends asked me to dance, which I accepted because I was bored, and proceeded to freak me on the dance floor! I went "Woo buddy, I don't dance this close." and his response was "Thats ok just go with it." my response "No I don't think so and I don't think my boyfriend would appreciate it." I high tailed myself off the dance floor and left the festivities about an hour after that. In addition everyone was asking me about "Where my date was" and I had to explain, to complete strangers, my relationship and what Ted was doing. It made me miss him really bad. But I'm really grateful for his program because it has made us realize how strong our relationship is and how much we care for one another.
Looking forward to next week (and not being sick.) My mom and 3 of her friends are coming to visit and go to Disneyland (I bought an annual pass.) And then my old roommates from college are coming in around the time my mom is leaving. So my tiny apartment will be hosting a lot of visitors soon! Damn I have to clean up the place.

1to the Izzo:
Oh, Drag Queen Bingo, I'm so jealous, although I'm SURE there's got to be something like that around here (I mean, they did it in Sex and the City, so it MUST exist). Weddings where you don't know anyone are awkward, that's for sure. Sorry you're sick, Maggie!
