Thanks and MORE!

Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes! I am officially 24! :)

I had a great weekend. For my birthday my friend Megan and I went to Street Scene, a two day concert that San Diego hosts every year. This year it was moved to Chula Vista at the Coors Ampitheater, which is new and very nice. We had a blast! Everyone that we saw was amazing...but a quick run down for you all...we saw:

Saturday
-Monte Batallion (local SD band- very good)
-Army of Me
-Fair to Midland (not what I was expecting, but cute panda band shirt)
-Rocket Summer (the singer looks 15, he's actually 25)
-Mims (this is why I'm hot! haha)
-Shut up Stella
-The Academy Is... (who might be my new favortie- amazing band from Chicago who are a total 80's hairband throwback in their dress- I bought their shirt because it is amazing, I'll post the picture when Megan sends it to me)
-Augustana (I only knew their popular song Boston, but very good, amazing voice- very depressing)
-Jack's Mannequin (Andrew McMahon's, lead singer from Something Corporate, solo project- he is amazingly hot and an amazing performer)
-Panic! at the Disco (they are SO much fun live! Their lead singer Brendon is so animated!)

Sunday
-T.I. (just popped in for a few songs)
-The Editors
-Paolo Nutini (who made me want new shoes)
-Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
-Gym Class Heroes (who are also amazing live- their lead singer Travis is so much fun!)
-Brand New (who had fun shirts- but none of them fit me- boo)
-Tiger Army
-Arctic Monkeys (I bought their tshirt with a penguin on it! They were good live, but not as friendly. Although their lead singer did ask the audience to buy them "candy floss" aka cotton candy)
-The Killers (who were the most amazing performance of the weekend- no joke! They sang all of their big hits and a few smaller ones from Sam's Town, which were amazing as well. They are seriously awesome live. If you like them and ever have the chance to see them live- pay for it. It's totally worth it)

All of these for just $120! And we only went to maybe a quarter of the people who were performing at the festival. And I spent $30 on beer getting drunk today for my bday. :)

Anyways, I'll post pics when Megan emails them to me. It was so much fun. Wish you all could have been here to celebrate with me.

Jenny came to be bday dinner on Friday night and we went to the Lamplighter afterward. She just got internet hooked up at her new place, so we need to try again to convince her to join the MoCal blog. I mentioned it to her a few times and it sounded promising. She cut her hair to her shoulders. It makes her look very adult!

That's all for now. I'm headed home for Caroline's wedding on Friday night and will return to SD on Monday evening. I will make sure to take pics at the wedding and post them for all to see. I'm excited to see Chris Marcoux, since I haven't seen him since we graduated six years ago!

PS- My mom sent me 10 bed, bath, and beyond coupons for my bday and a gift card there. She cracks me up.
