The perfect job...

BARTENDERS—Applicants must have exceptional people skills, have pride in their appearance and be able to maintain their composure under stressful conditions. High volume experience is a plus, but we will consider training applicants that are otherwise exceptionally well qualified. We have multiple openings here and applicants may be considered for employment at our other locations in San Diego. Full and part time.

This was followed up by:

If you do not enjoy working in a continuous party atmosphere where teamwork and team spirit are paramount, or enjoying the best income in our industry, supplemented by over tipping customers, please do not apply for these positions.

Could this be the perfet job? Granted, it's not quite what I went to college for, but alcohol and everything associated with it is one of the valuable things I learned. Hmm...

Then I realized it was for Dreamgirls and my job hunt continues. ..

John Green's dog is really effing cute

I'm really jealous of John Green's AMAZINGLY ADORABLE new puppy, Willy, although I am prevented from kidnapping because A.) Willy lives with John Green and his wife the Yeti in Indianapolis, B.) as John explains, Willy smells a little bit like his own pee, C.) I cannot have a dog in my apartment (I have to keep reminding myself of this, as it is hard to resist all the adorable dogs running around Manhattan), and D.) I remember what a chore it was to raise Val, so no puppies for me. Also, I'm pretty sure that puppynapping is at the very least frowned upon by the police and the populace in general. If you know of a legal loophole to that, let me know.

Drama for your mama

It's been a rough week for me. I wanted to thank you all for being so supportive in this crazy time for me.

This situation has actually been really tough on me. This is the third issue with drugs that I've seen with my students in the past year. It's just so hard for me to understand. It's probably because of the way I grew up and the values that my parents taught me, but I just don't understand why anyone would want to get so involved with that of lifestyle. What kills me though is that this situation has taught me that my students learned nothing from the two deaths in the last year. I truly hope they take this situation and learn from it that they are NOT invincible and they need to take care of each other and hold each other accountable. ::sigh::

The hardest part of me is seeing the students not directly involved being so affected. We all just have to take it one day at a time.

This situation has just made me miss you all more and more! I am really truly excited to come to New York in July! :) Looking forward to it!

Konichiwa BITCHES!

Who would write such a rude thing? Oh wait, check the contributors because Jenny's finally on this thing (after how many years?!)

So this is what is new: I got fired. But other than that life is peachy.

Yes, it definitely sucks and was a huge blow to my ego. You all would be so proud of me. I didn't go crazy and instead held my head high, thanked them for the opportunity and went on my way. I didn't scream or cry or tell them to shove a diamond up their asses. I guess it's this whole getting old thing and maturity and crap. But, as you all know, I definitely have something up my sleeve.

I am returning a necklace I bought there in a little less than two months. Why then? Because it will be day 119 and still falls within the 120-day return policy. haha bitches! And while I'm there, I'm going to make one of the manager's clean my earrings--I'm a customer now, damnit. They WILL kiss my ass. And I will laugh, and it will be sweet.

So other than that, life has been pretty sweet. I'm living it up with friends that are still here (which are few and far between) and perfecting the art of getting free drinks without being a make-out whore. (And thus far I have done it while I've been here). Hopefully I will have it mastered by the time I come to NY--those boys won't know what hit them!

In other completely unrelated news, greatest quote from a parent came a few days ago. My mom was talking about how she went to take my dad to go see "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and how she wasn't aware of them showing penis. I told her a friend of mine went to see the movie and I knew about it. She soon interupted me with "JENNY, I was NOT prepared for THAT MUCH PENIS"

Is it wrong that I wanted to respond with "I am"?

X-Files Quote

So super excited for The X-Files movie. Here is one of many favorite quotes from the show I smile at;

Scully: Theres something up there, Mulder.

Mulder: Oh, I've been saying that for years.

-'Gender Bender' season 1

Especially when I went up to Eureka for his service. But like everyone in my family, we're all taking it day by day. We're having a family reunion on my dad's side this month, so I'm sure I'll be hearing a lot of good memories and stories of my uncle.
