Some Fun Anagrams

Carrie and I anagramed our names, here are the best one:

Carrie, first & last name: Britannic urge
Carrie, first, middle, & last name: Argentina ice nub jr.

Kim, first & last name: Milky stoke
Kim, full first, middle, & last name: Elementary kinky slob

Haha. That was funny. :)

A great joke in honor of Cambria's upcoming birthday

What does a sheep do with her friends to celebrate her 25th birthday?

She goes on a BAA CRAWL, nimrod!

GEDDIT????!!?!?!!

Fun fact: Bri's first and last name actually anagram to spell "baa crawl nimrod", which is how I came up with that joke. My name, sadly, doesn't anagram to ANYTHING, but my full name (first, middle, last) anagrams to many things, my favorite being "Arena Tzarina Jab Hank", which makes me sound sort of violent, but I love "Arena Tzarina". I have to find a way to use that somehow in my life. Guys, anagram your own names and post your favorites, please! This is fun!

DEATH TO ALL BUGS

I killed a mosquito eater all by myself last night. I am posting this blog to encourage Carrie to post the story, because I think it would be more amusing from her point.

Also- I have a light outside my apt that attracts bugs. And I f'ing hate them. Including all the "cute" ones... butterflies, lady bugs, etc. They freak me out.

The end.

More kats!

There was a kitten born in California this week with an "I [heart]" mark on its side followed by a dot, which is cute since its mother's name is Dottie so it says "I [heart] Dot"! Follow the link for video, or at least to see a still of the birthmark, which will probably fall out once the kitten grows up, right? Anyway, SO cute, thought I'd share on this pretty bleh morning.

Kitty Kafés (another idea Cambria should've thought of)

Get this: In Japan, you can go to a so-called cat café and pet a cat for $8 an hour! If these ever come to SLO, your mom should look into finally making Wee Milo get a job, Bri...he'd earn money just sitting in people's laps! Mrs. Foofy probs shouldn't apply though. If people have scratches up and down their faces, they probably won't buy the overpriced pillows and jewelry that earns the café their real dough. Hee! Kitty kafé!

ETA: I can't believe I'm the first person to use "Wee Milo" and "Mrs. Foofy" as tags.

On the road again...

I can't wait to NOT be on the road again!! :)

Carrie and I just got back from our journey half way across the country!

The conclusions I have come to: Texas sucks, New Mexico was awesome- but I would not want to live there, and Arizona is freakin' HOT!

Pictures and quotes are to come!

Miss you all!

Happy Easter, clowns!

It's a Peep show! Geddit?

Also, I started a new blog for myself, using my real full name, so that if (cross your fingers!) I get a book deal, I can use it as my author blog. But that's a long way off! Still, visit it if you want...I probably won't be blogging so much at word/play anymore. With the Tumblr and everything, I mean, how much can a girl blog? Check the Tumblr for some choice quotes from Cambria. Miss and love you all!

Sicko

Greetings! I hope this post finds you all in good health, unlike me. Of course my illness is probably my own undoing, but lets just say I had fun before I got sick!

The obtaining of my illness could have been from anytime between Wednesday last week to that Saturday. Wednesday night a group of coworkers and I went to West Hollywood (WeHo!) for Drag Queen Bingo! We'd been two weeks before and had a blast. So this time around we doubled our group size and got front row tables. I had a few drinks and there were lots of people about, anyone of them could have been carrying the flu bug. Oh and the drag queen last week wasn't as pretty as the one we say the first time out. Hence the super hairy arms and gross arm pit sweat (see below.)

Thursday night I worked at the theater and my boss was sick, hmm good possibility I got sick from her.

Friday night my coworkers and I celebrated my friend Justine's birthday in Huntington Beach, wrongly named "Surf City USA." That title I believe will always belong to Santa Cruz, but I digress. It happened to be two-for-one night at the bar we went to and lets just say I purchased my fair amount of drinks that night. Woke up the next morning to work at the lab and I'm pretty sure I was still drunk.

Sunday is when the flu bug really hit me. I had to go into the lab for work and I was aching all over. It sucked. By the end of the day I was ready to die, oh and I had a fever of 101.4! Its a good thing I got my drinking in for St. Patty's Day on Friday because I've been doing nothing from the time I got home Sunday, to having to call in sick today. Kim, even if we were able to make plans for St. Patty's I probably would have canceled.

Besides being sick, I was in my friend Amanda's wedding at the beginning of the month.
It was a lot of fun, but awkward because I didn't really know anyone besides her immediate family. And to make things worse, towards the end of the night one of their drunk friends asked me to dance, which I accepted because I was bored, and proceeded to freak me on the dance floor! I went "Woo buddy, I don't dance this close." and his response was "Thats ok just go with it." my response "No I don't think so and I don't think my boyfriend would appreciate it." I high tailed myself off the dance floor and left the festivities about an hour after that. In addition everyone was asking me about "Where my date was" and I had to explain, to complete strangers, my relationship and what Ted was doing. It made me miss him really bad. But I'm really grateful for his program because it has made us realize how strong our relationship is and how much we care for one another.

Looking forward to next week (and not being sick.) My mom and 3 of her friends are coming to visit and go to Disneyland (I bought an annual pass.) And then my old roommates from college are coming in around the time my mom is leaving. So my tiny apartment will be hosting a lot of visitors soon! Damn I have to clean up the place.

Road Trip

So the road trip begins Friday, March 21st!!! I am sooooooo excited to be coming home, I can't stand it! I've talked to a bunch of people about which route to take, northern or southern, and while I would like to see some new scenery, the northern route is 500 miles out of the way = more money on gas! So that's a no. However, there is one place in New Mexico I wanted to stop at last time and it only happens to be about an hour, 100 miles or less out of the way. Here's a link to the route I came up with.

The small detour is due to the stop in White Sands, NM.
White Sands National Monument

This is just one picture I found of White Sands.

I would love to check this place out, and of course it's up to Kim too...so we will see. Total miles without White Sands is almost at 1500, with the stop its 1600. Just trying to decide how big of a deal 100 miles is. I suppose we can play it by ear; it really depends on what time of the day we are even in New Mexico - the hours of the park I think are 7am - 9pm. Besides that, I need to spend as little money as possible for this trip. Thoughts anyone?

I am heading out to my Fox Exit Interview now...wish me luck! Talk to you all soon.

PS - I can't remember how to scale down pictures. haha I am sure Anna will fix this.

Lust, caution

In other news, I am very disappointed in MoCa--what's everybody been doing as of late? I know Bri's been working with ties for the past few days--maybe update us on that, Briz, and also tell everyone your amazing tie joke? Although I will agree it loses something without the in-person delivery. But come on! Doesn't anyone have any life news? Carrie--when do you move back to SD?

My life remains pretty boring, just work and book stuff. My agent Joanna and I have been working on editing my manuscript, but I don't think I'll be able to do something substantial until this weekend. It is overwhelming, I will admit, to finally have to please someone other than myself with my writing, but...I guess that's the price you pay to have other people read it. I hope we sell it! It's getting better by the minute. My roommate and I might be getting a couch off Craigslist, though, so that's exciting. Oh, and I'm really lusting after that dishwasher you see in the photo above, but of course I can't afford it--maybe I'll ask for it for a combined X-Mas/birthday gift this year. I don't even know where we'd put it--we have zero counter space, and all the room on our kitchen cart is being taken up by the microwave and toaster oven, but if I could get a dishwasher I would FIND ROOM.

Update! That is all, you hot tranny messes. Stay fierce.

Everything's just incredibly fierce (when it's not being a hot tranny mess up in here)

Item A:

You are ayza in or you ah outz...vis ze sparklink.

Item B:

So as many of you may know, I wrote a book. Um, so I got an agent yesterday. Woohoo! We're doing edits on the book and then maybe we'll get to sell it to a publisher! That's all.

A New Day Has Come

It's official now; I just turned my letter of Resignation in. March 20th, 2008 will be my last day at Fox Sports Net. Some say I am brave, most say I am crazy, but I say "I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!" There are so many grey areas right now, what with the job and apartment hunting, money, etc... Yet these somewhat LARGE issues are still not keeping me from being EXTREMELY thrilled and anxious to see what I come up with in San Diego. I am truly coming home....back to the Motherland. ;-)

Kim bought her plane ticket out to Houston for Thursday, March 21st at shortly after midnight. What an AWESOME road trip this is going to be! Someday we should ALL take a trip somewhere. I'll keep everyone informed of any new developments, but for now I just wanted to share the news of my official resignation.

Hope all is well. Miss and love you guys!
